Green River Studio: simply beautiful personalised silver jewellery, handcrafted on the banks of the River Thames
All was a-shake and a-shiver—glints and gleams and sparkles, rustle and swirl, chatter and bubble…. the river chattered on, a babbling procession of the best stories in the world, sent from the heart of the earth to be told at last to the insatiable sea…
That’s how Kenneth Grahame described the River Thames in his book The Wind in the Willows. He knew that this river was magic, a place where stories were born, where the real and the imaginary could be combined.
I live by this river. In the place where I live and work, the river has been painted green by the reflections of leafy trees that line its banks. It really is magic.
I named my company Green River Studio because, like Kenneth Grahame, I know the banks of the Thames to be a place of beauty and inspiration. This is real Wind in the Willows country. And this is where I make the unique, personalised silver jewellery you’ll find on this site.
My name is Corrina Smith. My story started when I was made redundant from my corporate job, and realised that my talent with silver could become more than a hobby. I started handcrafting silver jewellery in my home studio here in West Berkshire.
Now I make silver jewellery that’s truly personalised. From the individual personalised family necklace – to timeless, classic designs like stars, hearts and snowflakes. I can inscribe your jewellery with a message, a name, a memory… an ideal way to celebrate a birth, wedding or an anniversary.
When I took up running along these riverbanks, I decided I’d make jewellery especially for runners. These bracelets, necklaces and earrings are specially inscribed to commemorate marathons or half-marathons, or to encourage you at any stage of your running. A gift for a runner you know, or something to celebrate your own achievements and inspire you to face your next challenge.
I want every aspect of my work to reflect the beautiful place that’s inspired me. Everything I make handcrafted and even the packaging is beautifully produced.
So, share the magic of the river with me.
